Current Position & Biography
Amanda Cassatt is the founder and CEO of Serotonin, a business serving institutions and startups in blockchain and cryptocurrency. She also serves on Bit Digital’s board of directors. Bit Digital’s current leadership page lists her, and its appointment announcement states that her board service began on January 1, 2026. Her professional contribution is in company-building, communications and market development rather than authorship of a blockchain protocol.
Before Serotonin, Cassatt was chief marketing officer at ConsenSys. Bit Digital’s December 2025 regulatory filing dates that role from August 2016 to July 2019 and describes her responsibility for marketing and design. That work placed her within the Ethereum ecosystem during an important period of its expansion. The title is historical and should not be read as a current position at ConsenSys.
Notable Contributions
Through Serotonin, Cassatt has developed a specialist business around communicating blockchain products and helping organizations reach users. Her author website describes the company’s work as supporting decentralized technologies. Those statements establish her commercial focus; they do not independently measure the adoption or financial performance of its clients.
Cassatt wrote Web3 Marketing: A Handbook for the Next Internet Revolution, published by Wiley in 2023. The publisher’s contents cover Bitcoin and Ethereum, audience research, team-building, measurement, engagement and retention. The book translates blockchain-related ideas into a marketing framework for business readers. Its arguments about ownership and online communities are the author’s perspective, not a guarantee that every tokenized service delivers those benefits.
Her official book website also describes an NFT tied to the book and access to a token-gated Telegram community. That is a concrete example of applying token-based access to a publishing project. The description is not a verification that redemption remains available or that the token has an investment value.
Bit Digital’s December 11, 2025 filing discloses a separate consulting agreement with Serotonin covering Ethereum narrative development, social-media work and public relations. It states that Cassatt, as a principal of Serotonin, has an interest in that arrangement. This disclosed commercial relationship is relevant context for her board role; it is not an allegation of misconduct.
Why Katharos Is Following Them
Cassatt connects crypto-native communications with institutional and consumer-facing businesses. Her work offers a way to examine how complicated technical systems are presented to potential users, and where promotional language needs clearer explanation of product mechanics, incentives and risk.
Katharos follows that interface without treating marketing reach as proof of durable usage. A campaign, a community membership and a functioning decentralized application are different outcomes and should be evaluated separately.
Areas to Follow
Relevant areas include how blockchain businesses explain custody and token utility; how marketing teams measure actual use rather than attention; and how commercial relationships are disclosed when industry executives also serve on corporate boards.
Reporting Scope
Coverage focuses on documented communications, publishing and company-building work. The United States is a professional-market association supported by Bit Digital’s New York business address, not a claim about Cassatt’s citizenship or residence. This profile does not endorse a token, investment strategy or service provider.
