About these terms
These terms govern your use of Katharos.ai and its news, reviews, research, newsletters, market dashboards, KAI scores, learning content and related features, operated by UpSwitch.AI LLC (Katharos, we, us). By using the services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services. Our Privacy Policy explains our information practices. Specific purchase terms or a separate signed agreement may also apply to a particular service.
Accounts and eligibility
You must have legal capacity to enter an agreement to purchase a subscription. If you act for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. The service is not directed to children under 13; minors who may lawfully use it must have appropriate parent or guardian permission.
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and notify us of suspected misuse through Contact. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share access to bypass subscription limits, impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
Information, research and investment risk
Katharos provides general information, research, education and opinion. It does not provide personalized investment, financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, brokerage, custody or an offer to buy or sell an asset. No adviser-client or fiduciary relationship is created by using the service. Consult qualified independent professionals about your circumstances.
Digital assets can be highly volatile, illiquid or subject to fraud, cyberattack, protocol failure and regulatory change. You may lose your entire investment. Coverage, a favorable score or an advertisement is not a recommendation or endorsement. You remain responsible for decisions and independent verification.
Market data, charts and AI-assisted tools
Prices, charts, rankings, signals, treasury figures and other metrics depend on external sources, update intervals and methodology. They may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable or incorrect; a display described as live is not a guarantee of uninterrupted real-time delivery. Data should not be used as an execution quote.
AI-assisted content and KAI outputs can contain errors, unsupported inferences or outdated information. Scores and model outputs are research aids, not predictions or promises of returns. Historical performance, simulations and examples do not establish future results. We may revise data and methodology as information changes.
Subscriptions, renewals and cancellation
The subscription and checkout pages describe the current price, billing interval, features and reading allowances. Review them before purchasing. Paid subscriptions renew at the disclosed interval until canceled, subject to the terms shown at checkout and applicable law. You authorize the agreed recurring charges through our payment processor. Applicable taxes and charges are shown or applied as legally required.
Use Manage billing to manage your subscription or request help through Contact. When cancellation is scheduled for the end of a billing period, access continues until the indicated end date and the subscription does not renew after that date. The confirmation in the billing portal identifies the effective cancellation date. Deleting an app shortcut or unsubscribing from emails does not cancel a paid subscription.
Refund requests can be submitted through Contact and are considered under the purchase terms and applicable law. These terms do not remove mandatory refund, withdrawal or other consumer rights. We will provide legally required notice of material price or renewal changes and an opportunity to cancel before they apply. Failed payments may interrupt paid access.
Free access and newsletters
Free and paid reading allowances and their reset rules are described on the subscription page and may differ by content type. A daily article email is separate from on-site reading allowances. Delivery depends on enabled preferences, eligible recent content and service availability; it is not a promise of an email every day. You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails without canceling an account or membership. Material changes to paid entitlements remain subject to your purchase terms and applicable consumer rights.
Using our content
Unless otherwise identified, the service design and original content are owned by or licensed to Katharos and protected by intellectual property law. You may read content and use available download or print tools for your own lawful personal or internal reference, subject to your subscription. Keep attribution and notices intact.
Do not republish full articles, redistribute paid PDFs, sell access, systematically reproduce our database or use the service for bulk extraction or model training without permission or an independent legal right. Limited quotations, linking and uses permitted by applicable law remain permitted. Third-party content, images, marks and data retain their owners’ rights. Contact us for licensing requests.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass paywalls or security measures, introduce malware, overload the service, harvest personal information, facilitate fraud or violate another person’s rights. Do not use accounts or forms for spam, harassment or unlawful content. Automated access must respect lawful access restrictions and may not disrupt the service. Security concerns should be reported through Contact without exposing other users’ information.
Messages, submissions and listings
You retain ownership of material you submit and are responsible for having the rights to supply it. You grant us the permission reasonably necessary to receive, store, review and respond to submissions and, where you request publication, display and distribute them through the relevant service. A private contact message is not automatically a public submission.
Do not send confidential material that requires a separate agreement unless we have agreed to that arrangement. We may decline or remove unlawful, misleading or inappropriate submissions or listings. Jobs, organizations and opportunities require your independent diligence; we do not guarantee a listing’s outcome or a third party’s conduct.
Advertisements and third parties
Advertisements, sponsored research and partner placements are commercial content and should be identified as such. Payment for a placement does not establish that a project or product is safe, suitable or approved by Katharos. Links, embeds, payment services and other third-party tools are subject to their operators’ terms and privacy practices. Transactions with third parties are between you and them; investigate their claims and risks independently.
Availability, changes and account restrictions
We may maintain, improve or discontinue features, correct errors and restrict accounts where reasonably necessary for security, suspected abuse, legal compliance or nonpayment. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and a way to raise concerns. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Changes do not override applicable rights relating to prepaid services or refunds. You may stop using the service and contact us about account closure; manage recurring billing separately.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular investment decision. We are not responsible for market movements, trading losses or third-party actions merely because they follow your use of our content.
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities and lost profits arising from use of the service. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees or liability for fraud or other conduct protected from limitation by law. Mandatory statutory rights prevail over conflicting language in these terms.
Questions, disputes and applicable law
Contact UpSwitch.AI LLC through the Katharos Contact page with service concerns so we can try to resolve them. These terms are governed by Maryland law, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory protections in your jurisdiction apply. This provision does not deprive consumers of non-waivable rights or require them to bring proceedings in a forum contrary to applicable law. No mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver is imposed by these terms.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
Updates and contact
We may revise these terms as services and circumstances change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes affecting subscriptions or rights will receive notice where required by law, and any consent required by law will be obtained.
