About Katharos

See crypto markets clearly

News, research and market intelligence for people building, studying and participating in the digital asset economy.

Clarity is our purpose

Crypto moves quickly. Understanding it takes more than following the latest price or headline. Katharos brings reporting, long-form analysis, market data and learning into one place, helping readers connect what is happening with why it matters. Our focus spans blockchain technology, digital assets and the financial systems taking shape around them.

The Katharos perspective

Context beyond the headline

From an individual exploring a first idea to a researcher testing a thesis or a team building a product, Katharos supports a more considered approach to crypto. Explore the platform, question the narratives and follow the evidence.

News with context

Follow developments across crypto markets, regulation, institutions and blockchain ecosystems. Katharos connects daily events to the technologies, businesses and decisions behind them.

Room for deeper arguments

Katharos Reviews brings together long-form analytics, research, reviews and opinions. Explore security, DeFi, banking, tokenization, quantum computing and blockchain, including series that develop an argument across multiple episodes.

A connected view of the market

Explore crypto assets, ETFs, crypto-related stocks and public-company treasury exposure. Prices, charts and market metrics provide a common reference point for investigating a story or comparing a thesis with market activity.

Intelligence that invites scrutiny

KAI scores and analytics bring structured signals into the research process. They are tools for exploring context and risk, not guarantees of performance. AI-assisted interpretation can be incomplete or mistaken; readers should evaluate the underlying information and its limitations.

Knowledge that grows with you

Katharos Learn combines short training with longer courses so readers can build understanding alongside their daily reading. The aim is to make complex topics approachable without removing the detail that matters.

A place for people building the industry

The crypto jobs board connects professional interests with opportunities across the ecosystem. Advertising and sponsored placements give projects, exchanges and service providers a way to reach a relevant audience.

Follow the systems, not just the tokens

Our coverage connects adoption, infrastructure, custody, settlement, governance and security with developments in regulation and finance. We examine how blockchain interacts with banks, institutions, developers and communities, and where the strongest claims still need evidence.

Clarity, context and transparency

We aim for clear language, useful context and a distinction between reporting, analysis and opinion. Sponsored content should be identifiable to readers. Questions about an article, a correction or a commercial relationship can be raised through our Contact page.

Intelligence for digital finance

Katharos.ai, operating as Katharos, is an AI-assisted crypto market intelligence and news platform for traders, investors, researchers and builders. Its purpose is to connect news, research and market data so readers can examine the forces shaping digital finance.

News and market intelligence provide context around digital assets, regulation and the wider financial system. Katharos Review offers space for deeper research, analysis and opinion on decentralized finance, tokenization, real-world assets and the relationship between traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure.

From market information to informed research

The Katharos KAI Score brings multiple signals into a structured asset research framework. Readers can consider scores alongside market data, liquidity, sentiment and the available supporting analysis, paying attention to data coverage and the methodology behind each result.

Market dashboards support comparison and investigation. Learning resources help readers build understanding, while the crypto jobs board and advertising offerings connect the platform with builders, employers and organizations working in digital finance. Scores and AI-assisted analysis are research tools, not guarantees of future performance.

The people shaping digital finance

People & Influence puts individuals and their contributions in context. Profiles bring together background, biography, professional affiliations and documented work across countries, continents and areas of expertise. Coverage includes entrepreneurs, developers, investors, educators, community leaders and people shaping policy and regulation.

The directory is designed to grow through editorial research and nominations. Nominations can be reviewed by an administrator before a profile is approved and published. A profile provides context; inclusion alone does not establish a ranking or endorse an individual.

Katharos Annual Global Crypto Influence Index

The People Shaping Digital Finance

The annual index is designed as an evidence-backed ranking of the 100 most influential people shaping digital finance during a defined assessment period. It considers contributions across crypto, DeFi, infrastructure, investment, research, community building, policy and regulation.

Each dimension is assessed independently. Fame, wealth and job title alone do not earn points. Sources must support the individual contribution within the assessment period, and regional impact counts. Published profiles can explain the evidence and reasoning behind the assessment.

Six dimensions of influence

Demonstrated impact (25%) considers documented changes to adoption, infrastructure, policy, regulation or industry practice. Narrative influence (20%) considers ideas that shape substantive debate, reporting or institutional agendas.

Reach and significance (15%) considers the people, organizations or markets meaningfully affected. Personal contribution (15%) asks whether outcomes can be attributed to the individual, rather than their title or organization alone.

Durable contribution (15%) recognizes lasting tools, institutions, standards, research or communities created during the period. Influence beyond their organization (10%) examines adoption or engagement across independent organizations, sectors or jurisdictions.

How the assessment works

Each dimension uses a 0-5 scale. Zero means the dimension has been assessed and no influence was demonstrated; it does not mean evidence is simply missing. One represents limited, localized evidence, and two represents documented influence within a defined community.

Three represents substantial influence across an ecosystem or jurisdiction. Four represents major influence adopted by multiple independent institutions or ecosystems. Five represents exceptional, demonstrably field-shaping influence. Not assessed remains distinct from zero.

For a complete assessment, each dimension score is divided by five and multiplied by its percentage weight. The weighted results sum to a score out of 100. The number should be read alongside the evidence, assessment period and editorial explanation.

Reading influence alongside market signals

People profiles and asset scores answer different questions. An influence assessment examines a person's documented contribution over an annual period; a KAI asset score provides a separate view of market-related signals. Neither should be treated as a substitute for the other.

Readers can use both to develop research questions: whether attention is supported by adoption, how a policy contribution affects an industry, or whether an initiative has influence beyond its originating organization. These comparisons provide context, not proof of wallet ownership, predictions of price corrections or guaranteed trading signals.
