Current Position & Biography
Amos Meiri is co-founder and managing partner of Node Capital, according to the firm's current team page, and a co-founder of AntSeed. A July 2026 interview published by The Rollup identifies his AntSeed role and describes the project as an open-source, peer-to-peer marketplace for AI inference. His earlier entrepreneurial work includes Colored Coins and Colu, linking digital-asset infrastructure with local-payment applications.
Meiri's professional history includes Israel through Colu, the Israeli startup he co-founded. His work addresses international crypto markets; this profile does not infer current residence or nationality from that association. Node Capital's team biography also records an earlier trading role at eToro.
Notable Contributions
Node Capital and the Paris Blockchain Week organizer identify Meiri as a co-founder of Colored Coins in 2012. The project explored representing digital assets on top of Bitcoin. This historical connection matters because it predates the broader development of token-based applications on programmable blockchains. The profile does not adopt promotional claims that it was the first example of every form of digital asset.
Meiri subsequently co-founded Colu in 2014. Its early blockchain work sought to connect digital assets and local economic activity. That history requires an important qualification: in August 2019, Colu announced that it would close its blockchain project and offer to repurchase CLN tokens issued through Colu DLT. Globes reported that the group would focus on City Currency activity that was not blockchain-based. Colu's legal adviser, Shibolet, separately documented its work formulating the repurchase plan. These sources establish the announced change of direction and plan; they do not establish that every holder received a repayment.
At Node Capital, Meiri's current work combines investment with network participation. The firm describes a focus on early-stage crypto infrastructure and decentralized protocols, with technical assistance and node operation alongside funding. His October 2021 introductory essay explains the team's intention to participate in networks rather than act only as a source of capital. These are the firm's stated strategy and operating approach, not evidence that every investment achieves those goals.
The 2026 AntSeed interview extends his activity into AI infrastructure, discussing a marketplace where inference providers and buyers connect. Its economic and adoption claims remain project descriptions rather than independently verified performance measures.
Why Katharos Is Following Them
Meiri's career provides a view across Bitcoin-based asset experiments, payment applications, crypto investment and decentralized infrastructure. The changes in those projects are as relevant as their original ambitions. His work offers concrete examples of how builders adapt technical and commercial models over time.
Areas to Follow
Follow Node Capital's disclosed investment and technical participation, AntSeed's published architecture and operational evidence, and the distinction between token design, real usage and investment claims.
Reporting Scope
Coverage separates current roles from historical ventures and preserves Colu's documented change of direction. Inclusion does not imply current Colu blockchain operations, guarantee token-holder outcomes or endorse investment products. Company statements are attributed, and institutional decisions are not presented as allegations of personal wrongdoing.
