Current Position & Biography
Toufi Saliba is CEO and co-founder of HyperCycle, which develops infrastructure for communication and transactions between AI systems. The company’s current team page confirms his leadership role and identifies him as a co-author of TODA/IP. HyperCycle dates its founding to October 2022. His relevance to digital assets concerns cryptographic transaction protocols and token-linked infrastructure, rather than AI commentary alone.
An individually captioned ITU photograph documents Saliba’s participation in a smart-banking panel in Busan in 2017. The caption records his professional United States association at that event. That historical association is not evidence of his present residence or nationality. The profile does not carry forward the photograph’s older organizational titles as current appointments.
Notable Contributions
Saliba and Robert Moir are the named authors of HyperCycle Core 1.08, dated July 2025, with additional collaborators acknowledged. The paper describes a peer-to-peer architecture based on TODA/IP and Earth64 for AI services and small-value transfers. Its technical descriptions are project claims, not independent guarantees of security, performance or commercial viability.
The digital-asset connection is specific. The paper describes token-backed Node Factories and CHyPC and CHyPCe representations associated with Ethereum and Base. Its glossary identifies an Advanced Node Factory Enclosure as an ERC-721 representation, primarily on Base, pointing to a native asset. HyperCycle’s ledgerless transaction approach therefore coexists with blockchain-based representations. Neither a conventional-blockchain label nor an assertion that the system has no blockchain connection captures that design accurately.
The company also describes a network of node operators, developers and service providers intended to support direct AI-to-AI interaction. Those plans provide context for Saliba’s work, but do not establish that every proposed use case is operational or commercially successful. Claims about broad access to economic opportunity remain the company’s stated objectives.
Why Katharos Is Following Them
Saliba’s work provides a concrete example of the intersection between digital assets and machine-to-machine services. This raises questions about how participants identify an asset, authorize a transfer, verify delivery and receive payment. Published technical materials offer a basis for examining those questions and checking whether implementation matches the proposed design.
Areas to Follow
Follow documented protocol changes, security assessments, and the relationship between blockchain representations and native node assets. Useful evidence would include services actually purchased and delivered, transparent settlement arrangements and sustained network activity. Licenses issued, token prices and forecasts of future earnings should be distinguished from demonstrated adoption.
Reporting Scope
Coverage focuses on verified roles, attributed technical descriptions and evidence about implementation. Statements about an Internet of AI or future artificial general intelligence remain ambitions unless independently supported. A conference appearance does not establish institutional endorsement. The existence of a token representation does not guarantee liquidity or returns, and this profile does not recommend purchasing tokens or node licenses. Changes in project design should be dated rather than treated as proof that earlier promotional claims were realized.
