Impermanent Loss Calculator

Compare providing liquidity with holding the same tokens

50/50 constant-product pool · Full range · USD scenarios

Half of the deposit starts in each token by dollar value. Enter each token’s USD price change since deposit; 0% means unchanged. Fees are an optional end-value assumption, not a live yield forecast.

Value if held$15,000.00
Pool value before fees$14,142.14
Impermanent loss vs holding5.72% · $857.86
Pool value with assumed fees$14,142.14
Pool + fees minus holding-$857.86
Pool profit / loss vs deposit$4,142.14

Net fees needed to match holding: $857.86 total; $857.86 still needed after your fee assumption. Relative price ratio: 2× its initial value.

With price multipliers a and b, holding value = deposit × (a + b) ÷ 2; pool value before fees = deposit × √(a × b). Impermanent loss is the shortfall relative to holding, not necessarily a dollar loss on the initial deposit. Equal percentage changes in both tokens produce zero impermanent loss.

This model assumes a full-range 50/50 constant-product pool rebalanced through arbitrage. It does not model concentrated liquidity ranges, weighted pools, stable-swap curves, changing deposits, depegs to zero, or protocol risks. Fees/rewards are added as a separate net USD amount without compounding; subtract any costs from that assumption yourself. Gas, taxes and slippage are otherwise excluded.

Loss can reverse if the relative price returns to its starting point, but recovery is not guaranteed. Removing liquidity realizes the current outcome. Source: Uniswap: Understanding Returns.
