Binance plans to launch direct spot trading between USD Coin and the United Arab Emirates dirham, creating a new regional fiat market for one of the world’s largest dollar-backed stablecoins. The USDC/AED pair is scheduled to begin trading on October 28 at 8:00 AM UTC, giving eligible users a direct route between a dollar-referenced digital asset and the UAE’s national currency. The pair is not yet live, and Binance’s announcement should be understood as a scheduled market launch rather than evidence of established trading demand or completed payment adoption.

The approval represents a significant expansion of Ripple’s regulated U.S. infrastructure, but it does not convert Ripple into a conventional full-service commercial bank authorized to take ordinary deposits or make commercial loans.
