Kazakhstan is tightening its oversight of international cryptocurrency platforms, with the Astana Financial Services Authority confirming restrictions against Coinbase, BingX, Bitcoin.com, Huobi Global, BitMart and WEEX for offering or promoting digital-asset services without the required authorization inside the Astana International Financial Centre. The action does not amount to a nationwide ban on the six companies, but it marks a clear escalation in Kazakhstan’s effort to separate licensed crypto businesses from platforms serving users without local regulatory approval. The development is particularly notable because the enforcement mechanism extends beyond the exchanges themselves and may involve app-store operators such as Google and Apple.

Ripple has received final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish Ripple National Trust Bank, completing a federal charter process that began with its application in July 2025 and conditional approval five months later. The new federally supervised trust bank will manage segregated reserves supporting Ripple USD, act as collateral trustee for the benefit of RLUSD holders and provide fiduciary custody services for digital assets. The approval represents a significant expansion of Ripple’s regulated U.S. infrastructure, but it does not convert Ripple into a conventional full-service commercial bank authorized to take ordinary deposits or make commercial loans.
