TradFi Convergence Gets Practical: Goldman Brings $100 Billion Treasury Cash Into Crypto Infrastructure

Goldman Sachs is bringing its roughly $100 billion Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund into Lynq, giving institutional digital-asset firms access to conventional Treasury exposure inside a blockchain-enabled settlement environment. The development is notable precisely because FTIXX is not being tokenized. Instead, eligible U.S. clients can access the existing regulated money-market fund through tZERO Securities while using Lynq’s institutional settlement network. For crypto markets, the integration points to a second path for TradFi–blockchain convergence: traditional assets do not necessarily have to become tokens if regulated funds, stablecoins and digital assets can operate inside the same financial workflow.

South Korea’s Upbit has expanded trading support for Nillion (NIL) by adding a Korean-won market, giving domestic traders direct fiat access to the privacy-focused blockchain infrastructure token. Ripple Wins Final U.S. Trust Bank Approval as RLUSD Moves Deeper Into Federally Supervised Finance

Ripple has received final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish Ripple National Trust Bank, completing a federal charter process that began with its application in July 2025 and conditional approval five months later. The new federally supervised trust bank will manage segregated reserves supporting Ripple USD, act as collateral trustee for the benefit of RLUSD holders and provide fiduciary custody services for digital assets. The approval represents a significant expansion of Ripple’s regulated U.S. infrastructure, but it does not convert Ripple into a conventional full-service commercial bank authorized to take ordinary deposits or make commercial loans.
